Chi Alpha International (XAi) is the part of our organization that focuses on serving the international students of Oklahoma State University. Chi Alpha has always been one of the friendliest groups on campus. Whether it is at Thursday Night Live, another Chi Alpha event, or just on campus, we love connecting with students from every corner of the world.
Here are a few activities we currently have for international students:
Do you know that they number one issue that international students suffer from is loneliness?
The XAi Ambassadors are here to change that! The XAi Ambassadors is an International ministry program at osuxa. Students who are a part of the XAi Ambassadors choose a specific country that international students are from and become the Ambassador to that country. As the Ambassador, they commit to pray for the country and its people, learn a few phrases from the language that is most commonly spoken , and learn a few major facts about the country. In addition to that, Ambassadors attend international events on campus where they are able to use what they have learned to reach the international community at OSU and make them feel welcomed and let them know they have friends so far away from home. If you love learning about different cultures, making new friends, having a good time, and eat amazing food, this is the group for you!
Would you like to get a crash course in American Culture? Well this is the place for you! In our Discover America meetings, we will be introducing a different America custom or American Holiday. If you want to meet some American friends, enjoy some great food, and have a good time you need to check this out! Every Friday at 7pm in CLB 217.
International Coffee Hour
Come enjoy FREE coffee, tea, and conversation with us! We meet Fridays at 3:30-4:30 in the library 109H.
Our weekly meetings are centered around people getting to know each other and helping where we can. We want to connect with you! To find out more, make sure you like the XAi Facebook page (www.facebook.com/osuxai).
